My
Reflection on General Colin Powell
I
agree with General Colin Powell because everything that you do in life brings
about many challenges. You must be
determined and always do your best to exceed expectations. I know for a fact that I am going to have
tough moments but I have learned from my past failures. Failure is not an
option and I will only listen to constructive critism. I am going to work hard and prepare myself
for the many obstacles that will try to deter me.
You
can succeed at anything you attempt if you are deciated, committed, and have
your priorities in order. Learning from
your past failures is very important because you don’t ever want to feel that
way again. As long as you prepare
yourself for your challenges “especially the ones that you have failed in the
past” you will face the same challenges with a different perspective.
Even
though it has been 30 years since I graduated from high school, I am determined
to succeed this time. I am not going to
quit like I have done in the past. When
things get tough, I am going to get tougher. Because I know that I can succeed
at anything if I work hard, truly deciate myself, and prepare for
excellence.
So
the General is correct in saying that there is no secret to success because it’s
all about how bad you want to change your life.
Succeeding at College will change my life drastically.
So to help
keep me motivated, I am going to post this quote in my school journal. So when challenges get hard and they will, I
can read and re-read this quote for successful motivation.
